TASTING NOTES:
Here’s an outstanding Napa Valley Cab that if we told you where the juice was sourced we’d have to charge twice the price. It’s big and burly, but don’t think you can’t enjoy this 2019 early. The tannins are supple and round and the fruit is explosive. It’s a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot aged 24 months in French oak barrels. This Cab has an opaque, glass-staining purple color and shows aromas of sweet fruits, black cherry, blackberries, licorice and graphite. The mouthfeel however is soft with silky tannins. More cherry and dark berry notes mingle with minerals and toasty oak. The finish is long and satisfying. The density and concentration suggests a long ageability, continuing to deliver rich, complex flavors for many years to come. Sadly it’s limited but right now the price is right so grab it while you can.
