WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
The Terra d’Oro 2020 Petite Sirah is quintessential Amador County, with its rich, powerful flavor. The nose boasts aromas of blueberry jam, clove, licorice and layered pastry before giving way to violets, sage and marionberry pie. The palate is focused and captivating with sweet blackberry, refined tannins and a generous blueberry juice midpalate. The flavors are complemented by juicy tannins and a long, mouthwatering finish. This wine is a perfect fit with hearty meals such as Beef Wellington, Pot Roast, Beef Stew or Shepherds Pie.
TASTING NOTES:
Deep yet expressive nose with a hint of oyster sauce and flowers to the heat of rich brambly fruit. Morello cherries, violet extract, graphite and meaty spices. Rich and full-bodied on the palate with dense but juicy berries and tannins that keep the balance in check. Drink now.
