WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
Long inspired by the wines of the Southern Rhone Valley, this is Syncline’s answer to a Washington version of a Cotes-du-Rhone Villages wine. A blend of classic southern French varieties that are unique and expressive on their own; yet each contributes to create a harmonious whole. This charming, ruby colored wine displays black raspberry, ripe cherry, and spice aromas with bright acidity. The juicy mid-palate and excellent length provides a wine that is compatible with many foods and occasions.
TASTING NOTES:
This wine is 38% Syrah, 22% Mourvèdre, 18% Carignan, 17% Grenache and 5% Cinsault. The aromas draw you into the glass, with notes of wet concrete, black raspberry, dark cherry and herbs. The flavors are light, bright, and pure, not fully delivering on all of that promise though still bringing heaping amounts of enjoyment.
