WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
This 2019 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon presents itself with a deep, inky, and opulent garnet hue in the glass, hinting at its full-bodied nature. The rich color suggests depth and concentration. Upon the first swirl, the nose is greeted with an enticing bouquet of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, and black currants. Notes of cassis and plum emerge, along with a subtle hint of violet. The aroma is layered and complex,
offering a tantalizing preview of the wine’s depth. On the palate, this Cabernet Sauvignon showcases remarkable structure and balance. The 36 months of aging in
new French oak barrels have contributed to a velvety texture and integrated tannins that provide a luxurious mouthfeel. The wine’s intense fruit flavors burst forth, with ripe black fruits taking center stage. Dark chocolate, espresso, and a touch of vanilla from the oak aging add complexity and depth.
