WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
Deaver Vineyard is known for being a powerful wine with extended ageability. Inky, deep garnet in color, it offers aromas of violet, black cherry, raspberry and a spice box of clove, anise and cracked black pepper. On the palate the wine is generous, with a mouth-filling entry, a midpalate of black licorice, chewy tannins and a long floral and mineral finish.
TASTING NOTES:
Captivating black-pepper and wild-berry aromas lead to fresh, jammy fruit flavors in this very likable, distinctive and full-bodied wine made from a practically legendary 135-yearold vineyard. Moderate tannins give it a bit of grip to carry the ripe blackberry and raspberry flavors through a lingering finish. Editors’ Choice.
