WINEMAKER NOTES:
A Cabernet Sauvignon-based selection of barrels that display earlier drinking characteristics from 3 hillside vineyards. Vine age has matured and the same elegance and complexity yet on a more supple, approachable frame. Enjoy now, but will age.
TASTING NOTES:
The 2019 Jubilation is Colgin’s newest bottling, a small production mix of young vine and mature holdings across their hillside sites that was formerly reserved for club members only (and as such isn’t reviewed critically). The Colgin hallmarks of perfumed freshness and minerality are present in spades, but the Cabernet’s barrel aging emphasizes earlier drinking than the Grand Vin wines, making it as close to a ready-to-drink bottling as you’ll find from Napa Valley’s cult stars.
