WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
Martinelli “Vigneto di Evo” Zinfandel has fresh aromas of raspberry compote, milk chocolate, and sweet oak on the nose. Sweet entry with flavors of blueberry preserves and strawberry pie lead to supple tannins on the mid-palate and fresh pomegranate finish.
TASTING NOTES:
Despite its considerable weight and ripeness, this estate-grown wine shows a hint of brightness beneath its layers of dense blackberry and dark cherry. Leather, black pepper and a hint of dried herb accent it well, leading to an oak-spiced finish of lengthy proportion.
