WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
The castle Labadie is located in the town of Bégadan 70 km from Bordeaux. Its name would come from a plot where in time was located an abbey. From the deformation of contemporary French was born Labadie and its castle.
Grape varieties: 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 51% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.
Yves BIBEY, who has been operating it since 1970, received a few years ago the support of his son, a young and brilliant agronomist.
The conjunction of this terroir with its rich personalities, gives a very interesting result especially since the 2001 vintage.
Woody and Fruity
TASTING NOTES:
Big tannins from the ripe Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend of this wine give it structure and dark concentration. The fresh core will give the wine a lift as it matures. Drink from 2021
