WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
Sourced from some of the oldest low-yielding estate vines, some up to 100 years old, which produce deeply pigmented and rich Tempranillo grapes. Sandy soils with deep clay give an earthy richness and complexity to Tempranillos from this region. Vineyards are dry-farmed, without pesticides or herbicides, and are hand harvested. Aged for 15 months in French oak, this wine shows concentrated aromas of blackberry and plum, spice, leather and cedar. Rich and juicy black fruit flavors, silky texture and integrated tannins provide a lingering finish.
Blend: 100% Tempranillo
TASTING NOTES:
Bright purple. Intense cherry, blueberry and floral pastille scents on the spice-accented nose and in the mouth. Round and fleshy in style, with a spine of juicy acidity providing lift and structure to sweet black and blue fruit and mocha flavors. Closes with gentle grip and very good persistence, the velvety tannins framing the wine’s sweet fruit.
