WINEMAKER NOTES:
Château Moulin Riche 2016 is born from a blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot and 11% Petit Verdot, harvested from the vineyard of Château Léoville Poyferré, in AOC Saint Julien.
The juice obtained is aged and matured in 30% new oak barrels.
On the nose, the Moulin Riche 2016 exhibits an ample and charming bouquet of black fruits (cherries and plums), leaving still a slight parasitic acidity.
On the palate, the 2016 vintage of Château Moulin Riche offers a gentle attack, marked by black cherries and ripe black plums, with a greedy hint of vanilla on the palate and a hint of minerality on the finish.
The 2016 vintage of the Second wine of Chateau Léoville Poyferré promises to be the best!
