TASTING NOTES:
“The nose is dark, showing an alluring richness, as black cherry airs out to give way to fresher notes of strawberry, with hints of brown spices and lifting notes of wild brush and herbs. On the palate, depths of black fruit and spice are carried on textures that feel like pure silk, as dark spices and inner florals amass. The finish reveals the wine’s hulking structure, yet it is balanced by zesty acids with lingering wild berry fruits, saline minerals, and a hint of citrus and spice. The 2015 single-vineyard Brunello di Montalcino Manachiara displays wonderful balance, perfect oak management (it was aged in a combination of French Allier Barrique and botti), and is built for the long haul.”

“Ripe berry, dark spice, coconut and toasted notes form the nose. The full-bodied is palate is shy on fruit richness, evoking dried cherry, star anise and roasted coffee bean alongside dense, close-grained tannins that leave a drying close. Drink 2022–2027.”
