TASTING NOTES:
The 2014 Meursault 1er Cru les Perrières is more reserved than the 2014 Genevrières on the nose, but there is more mineral, stony scents infiltrating the citrus fruit and the focus here is very impressive. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity, touches of smoked walnut and smoke, although I would like to see more stoniness, more rockiness come through on the finish to express this great vineyard. Still a capable Meursault, though it would be the 2014 Genevrières on my own shopping list.
