WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
This silky red blend offers big fruit flavors and well-integrated, velvety tannins. Aromatics of pipe tobacco, leather and dark fruit layer with ripe boysenberry flavors and a hint of black pepper. The finish lingers with blackberry jam and toasty, graphite back notes. Pair with rosemary and peppercorn-crusted pork loin, lamb burgers or a grilled Portobello sandwich.
TASTING NOTES:
Dark, focused and juicy in texture, with crisp tannins wrapped around a lively core of red pepper-accented black cherry and dark chocolate flavors. Lingers well. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah.

This blend emphasizes merlot in its red-cherry and red-plum flavors, adorned with cabernet sauvignon’s scents of tobacco and saddle leather. It wears its oak like a velvet robe, with foresty tannins on the finish that invite a pairing with game, like an elk steak.
