TASTING NOTES:
Sourced from a half-dozen vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills and wider Willamette A.V.A.s – including Cattrall and Temperance Hill, from which Seestedt also essayed vineyard designates in this vintage – the Ransom 2012 Pinot Noir Jigsaw was bottled already last July. Its mint- and sassafras-tinged boysenberry, blackberry and cassis fruit preserve an attractively fresh edge and finish with abundant juiciness. This doesn’t offer the complexity of the corresponding 2010 (reviewed in issue 202) but offers fine value for consumption by 2015.
