WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
The 2019 Favia Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville is all about freshness, purity, and intensity. From a vintage that will continue to attract attention, this wine comes across the palate with a serious rush. Bright red cherry, sarsaparilla, flint, and vanilla drive the profile of this perfectly ripe, fruit-centered beauty. In addition to the pure fruit flavors, there are hints of umeboshi, maraschino, and slate. The palate and finish are highly polished, and as the impression lengthens and lingers, more layers of fruit and spice are revealed. An instant classic, this wine will age for two decades or more in the cellar.
TASTING NOTES:
Lots of lead pencil, blackberry, pine needle and some resin. Full-bodied, yet tight and focused, with tight, velvety tannins. Bitter chocolate and some toasted oak. Pepper, too.

Pure and focused, with a beam of cassis, red cherry and damson plum driving through, flanked with violet and anise and supported by a sleek, iron-tinged spine. This has a great encore of fruit, with subtle mint and loam echoes at the very end. Best from 2023.
