WINEMAKER NOTES:
Jack Mast was the third generation of his family to own and carefully tend the Mast Ranch; in his whole adult life, Jack spent only one night away from his beloved farmstead. Situated on the western side of the Yountville Appellation, the alluvial bench land of the Mayacamas Mountains imparts traits unique to this acclaimed terroir: gravelly soil interspersed with sand, loam, and clay; hillside irrigation, and cool bay winds that provide perfect temperate balance for Cabernet Sauvignon vines
TASTING NOTES:
The deep purple-black colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Mast Ranch offers up cassis, blackberry pie, blueberry compote and licorice with wafts of earth, sage and toasted nuts. Medium to full-bodied, it has a velvety texture with lovely expression and a fruity finish.
