TASTING NOTES:
Guillaume Roffiaen joined the winemaking team at Feuillatte in 2014, after 12 years at Drappier. He recently became chief winemaker and wines like this rosé show what he hopes to accomplish with the brand. There’s greater freshness here than in the Feuillatte wines we have tasted in the past, and impressive flavor depth and length. It’s a rich style, with scents of strawberries and roses, the flavors driven by grapefruit-like acidity. Pour it with a plateau de fruits de mer.

Ripe cherry and pineapple fruit flavors provide pure and juicy up-front pleasure in this creamy rosé Champagne, in a vinous style, while hints of marzipan, spiced orange peel, smoke and grilled herb emerge midpalate, playing out on the firm, focused finish.

The latest rendition of Feuillatte’s NV Brut Réserve Exclusive Rosé offers up inviting aromas of peach, raspberries and cherry pits, followed by a medium to full-bodied, pillowy and seamless palate that’s charming and demonstrative. This will drink well young.
