WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
Aurora’s Semi Dry Riesling has beautiful stone fruit aromatics with hints of minerality from the soil where it is grown on the Leelanau Peninsula. The 2012 vintage was an incredibly hot growing season, which allowed the fruit to ripen to levels that are not found from year to year on the Leelanau Peninsula. The fruit that was harvested had a perfect balance of sugar and acid, which helped create this lovely wine. When consuming this Riesling, you will find a desirable level of sweetness up front followed by a perfect balanced acidity on the finish. We recommend pairing this wine with salads with crumbled blue cheese, slightly spice Asian cuisine, grilled chicken, pork, and fish, and some savory desserts.
