WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
From selected parcels on south-facing slopes in Verdigny, this platinum-edged Sancerre unfurls with striking aromas of ripe green apples and baked pears, fresh white flowers, and lemongrass – along with suggestions of lavender, cassis, boxwood, and jasmine, all moving in and out of the foreground as the wine evolves in the glass. On the palate, the wine is sapid and generous – at the same time fine and elegant – with a delicately spicy core of flavors including lime zest, green mango, and Asian pear, all seasoned with chalky minerality that persists through the long, elegant finish.
