TASTING NOTES:
Fresh, juicy Primitivo coming from Puglia in southern Italy. Unlike most Primitivo, Calx is a terrific, crushable style, light-to-medium bodied, with fresh notes of cherry, ripe strawberry, violet, and hints of Italian herbs to highlight it’s juicy acidity. Organically-grown, with a natural fermentation and low added sulfites. It’s great with a slight chill, but equally delicious without. Try it with BBQ or anything off the grill, Nonna’s meatball recipe, beet gnocchi, charcuterie, or your favorite take-out falafel.
