WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
Fermented entirely in stainless steel tanks, this wine is vibrant and crisp with notes of lemongrass, rose petals, and sugared lemon peels. After a finish of star fruit and green apple, there is a touch of sea spray.
TASTING NOTES:
The 2020 Pinot Blanc Estate is unoaked, very dry and comes in at 11.9% alcohol. Nicely done, this has a feeling of substance in the mid-palate and fine structure too. It seems tightly wound and smoothly textured, with a fresh feel. That doesn’t mean there is no fruit, by the way, because this is also expressive and tasty. To justify my enthusiasm, this has to hold well for a few years, but it should. In the meanwhile, it’s super, and it is worth leaning up a little on it in its exuberant youth.
